Maybe you have an old bathroom that you want to give new life to. You could give it a fresh coat of paint, new ceiling light fixture, new bathroom mirror or maybe a new shower head.
If you are a seasoned DIYer, installing a frameless glass shower screen is really tempting. Upgrading to a glass shower screen from a shower curtain gives your bathroom a modern look.
Here’s what you need and what you do.
Materials needed:
- Level
- Glass Door
- Drill
- Masonry Bit
- Shims
- Masonry Anchors
- Screwdriver
- Glass silicone sealant
Process:
Measure your bathroom, length, and width. Check if the area is square so that the screen open and closes properly
With your measurements, draw an outline, bring it to your local supplier and purchase your glass screen
Once you get back home, follow the instructions that come with your screen package. Drill holes where your bracket should be and install masonry anchors.
Use your level tool to determine where you next bracket holes should be. Lift the screen unto the anchors until it sits flush in the bracket
Test your screen if it open and closes properly. Then, secure and tighten the hinges and screws
Seal the gaps with silicone to make sure no water comes out and floods the entire bathroom floors
If you are not comfortable installing glass shower screen yourself, Diverse Glazing Group can do that for you. Our qualified glaziers are prompt and professional.
